General Election 2024, All You Need To Know.

First phase to be held on April 19, second on April 26, third phase on May 7, fourth phase on May 13, fifth phase on May 20, sixth phase on May 25 and the seventh phase on June 1, said Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Rajiv Kumar.


  A total of 22 states will have single-phase voting, including Delhi. Elections in Maharashtra as well as Jammu and Kashmir will be held in 5 phases, while Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and West Bengal will vote in all 7 phases.


Karnataka, Rajasthan, Tripura and Manipur will vote in 2 phases. Chhattisgarh and Assam will see elections in 3 phases, while Odisha, Madhya Pradesh and Jharkhand will witness 4-phase polling.


Delhi will be going to the polls on May 25.

Phase 1 will be the largest voting bloc. Voting will be done in 21 states/UTs across 102 constituencies on April 19.

Elections in Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, Tamil Nadu, Uttarakhand, Andaman and Nicobar islands, Lakshadweep and Puducherry will start and end on April 19.


state wise phase wise

Phase 2 will see 89 Lok Sabha seats go to the polls across 13 states/UTs. Election to all 20 seats in Kerala will be held during the second phase on April 26.


A total of 94 Lok Sabha seats across 12 states/UTs will go to the polls in Phase 3 on May 7. All 26 seats in Gujarat will go to the polls on May 7.

Phase 4 will see 96 seats go to the polls in 10 states/UTs. Voters in all 25 seats in Andhra Pradesh and all 17 seats in Telangana will go to the booths on May 13.

A total of 49 parliamentary constituencies in 8 states/UTs will vote in the 5th phase on May 20. Lone seat in Ladakh will vote in this phase.


Phase 6 will see 57 seats across 7 states/UTs take part in the Lok Sabha elections. All 7 seats in Delhi and 10 seats in Haryana will vote on May 25.

The last phase of elections will see 57 seats across 8 states/UTs go to the booths. All seats in Punjab and Himachal will vote on the last day of elections on June 1.
