Tesla FSD -New Car.


 Tesla CEO Elon Musk sent an email to employees on Monday informing them they have to show customers how to use "FSD" before completing a delivery in North America.

"I know this will slow down the delivery process, but it is nonetheless a hard requirement," Musk wrote in the email.

Tesla is trying to avoid showing a year-over-year decline in deliveries for the first quarter.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk is now requiring employees to install and show customers how to use the latest version of the company's premium driver assistance system, which is marketed as "FSD" or Full Self-Driving, before completing a vehicle delivery in North America.


"Going forward, it is mandatory in North America to install and activate FSD V12.3.1 and take customers on a short test ride before handing over the car," Musk wrote in an email to staffers on Monday. "Almost no one actually realizes how well (supervised) FSD actually works. I know this will slow down the delivery process, but it is nonetheless a hard requirement."

Bloomberg first reported on Musk's email, which was also viewed by CNBCC. 



While all new Tesla vehicles have a standard driver assistance system installed called Autopilot, the company's FSD option costs $199 per month for most customers in North America.


Tesla's FSD system does not turn cars into autonomous vehicles. According to the Tesla owners' manuals, drivers must remain attentive to the road and ready to steer or brake at any time when using FSD or FSD Beta.

210 -Foot asteriod rushing towards Earth today , Says NASA

A massive asteroid the size of a skyscraper will pass close by Earth on Friday, February 2. The size of the harmless space rock is estimated to be between 690 and 1,575 feet (210 and 480 meters) across, according to NASA’s Center for Near Earth Object Studies. This means that the asteroid could be similar in size to the Empire State Building in New York or Chicago’s Willis Tower. The asteroid will pass within 1.7 million miles or 2.7 million km of Earth. However, its close proximity is of the least concern. The US space agency said the asteroid is a harmless fly-by as it will pass almost seven times the distance from Earth to the moon, according to the Associated Press. NASA confirmed that a 210-foot asteroid is hurtling towards Earth and is set to be a close call based on the expected trajectory.
